GKP runs the Youth Social Enterprise Initiative (YSEI), a programme dedicated to young social entrepreneurs that offers support in the four key areas of knowledge, networking, mentorship and financing; www.ysei.org
GKP – Global Knowledge Partnership is the world’s first multi-stakeholder network promoting innovation and advancement in Knowledge for Development (K4D) and Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D). GKP brings together Public Sector, Private Sector and Civil Society organisations with the goal of Sharing Knowledge and Building Partnerships in K4D and ICT4D.
In this YSEI- 2007, out of 860+ applications worldwide , GKP had initially shortlisted 160 projects and selected 100 projects out of 160 for the sponsership(Winners). 21 projects (out of 100) belongs to South -Asia.

Totally 10 projects have been selected from India.JaRID is proud to be the one among 10 projects to go malaysia for the Young Social Entrepreneurs’ Forum @ GK3 and the 3rd Global Knowledge Conference (GK3), a GKP Event on the Future on ‘Emerging People, Emerging Markets, Emerging Technologies’ that will bring 2000 participants to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 11 to 13 December 2007 .
Themed “Spearheading the Future”, the Young Social Entrepreneurs’ Forum @ GK3 will host 250 participants and will enable the 100 Global winners to meet various funding organisations, mentors, experts, potential partners and the media. They will also have the opportunity to be part of a crowd of innovative and motivated young social entrepreneurs and network with the 2,000 participants of the larger GK3, of which the Forum is a special highlight.The Young Social Entrepreneurs’ Forum @ GK3 will also see the Hakuna Matata Night (literally meaning “No worries” in Kiswahili). The format of Partying-Plus-Stories is an avenue for socialising, sharing, exchanging and – above all – having fun. The Hakuna Matata Night will bring together local Malaysian youths and the young social entrepreneurs from around the globe that participate in the Forum @ GK3.
